Wedding Info – Style

Fashion comes and goes, style is timeless

  COCO CHANEL

Back in the dark ages of film photography, when I started my career, we all thought it was terribly clever to double expose images – if you’re not sure what that looked like, think couples’ heads super-imposed onto brandy glasses… yes, it’s just as awful as it sounds. Then came digital photography and… well, things got worse. Since then we’ve seen trends and fads come and go – spot colouring, endless filters, weird colour casts, weird posing, you name it… but good photography is timeless.

I got to thinking about this when moving into my new studio. I opened up a long-hidden album of images from 2008, expecting a cringe fest but, you know what? I still liked a lot of the photographs. Yes, my style as developed over the years, but those photos sill look fresh and full of life and aren’t so very different from the photographs I take today.

PHOTO-NINJA MEETS WEDDING-GUEST-WITH-A -REALLY-GOOD-CAMERA

We would like to say a huge thank you for our stunning wedding photographs. We love every single one. You were so easy to work with on our wedding day and you made us both feel calm and relaxed throughout it all. Nothing was too much trouble for you and we can honestly say we couldn’t have chosen a better wedding photographer!

From the bottom of our hearts we would like to thank you for playing such an important part in our special day and for making it one of the most memorable days of your lives.

We are so grateful for all your hard work in making our wedding day absolutely perfect. Without you, it wouldn’t have been the dream day we have always dreamt of. Thank you so much.

CHELSEA + KEIRON

Good wedding photography happens when your photographer really gets you and getting to know you is a BIG part of how I work. Think about it, a friend is going to fit into your wedding day and take better photographs of you then a total stranger, right?

So we spend the time getting to know each other beforehand so that you can be totally at ease with me and my camera and so that any photography is just another fun part of your wedding day.

For most of your wedding day, I will either be like a stealthy photo-ninja, or I will be right in the middle of the action, getting a “guest’s eye view” of the day.  The result is a collection of photographs that bring back what it really felt like to be there on the day from someone who really cares about your best-day-ever.

SELF-CONFESSED DRAMA QUEEN

We can't thank you enough for this beautiful collection of photos - they capture the magic of the day so wonderfully and we're so happy we'll have these to remember it all. Your style of photography fitted the vision for the wedding perfectly, so thank you again!

MARTIN + CHARLOTTE

I’m hugely influenced by the media I consume: new wave directors like Besson and Goddard; artists that mastered the power of shadow, like Vermeer and Caravaggio; writers like Neil Gaiman who weave magic into the everyday… in short, I love a bit of drama. And this shows in the photographs I create.

I really don’t want to give you “wedding photographs” to hang on your wall. I want us to create something a bit special. Beautiful images you really want to show off. But I also want everything thing we do to be authentic and feel utterly natural to you and I don’t want to pull you away from the epic party that’s going on in your name. That’s where all our planning and getting to know each other comes in.

CONTACT ME to have a chat about your big day and how we can create some beautiful images together.
