Ch Ch Ch Ch Changes…

Stubton Hall wedding photography. Quirky bride and groom with bridesmaids and groomsmen

So… it’s been a wild couple of years, right? Quite the rollercoaster: from shock to panic to acceptance to bursts of wild creativity (let’s not mention the home schooling) to an insanely busy period as everyone seemed to get married all at once. And now I feel like I am finally catching my breath, looking around me and thinking “what’s next?”

The Stubton Hall Wedding Show

Well immediately next, like this Sunday, is the gorgeous Stubton Hall’s Wedding Show. 13th March 2022 11am to 4pm

This is going to be the only show I’ll be at this year, so if you want to meet me whilst having a good nosy round a beautiful venue – Sunday’s your chance! It’s no secret that Stubton is one of my absolutely favourite venues. Not only is it stunning but the team are awesome and it just seems to host happy, fun weddings for happy, fun couples.

To get you in the mood, I’ve peppered a few epic moments from last year’s Stubton Hall weddings throughout this post.

The Future

In the longer term there is change in the air here at SHP Towers. I’ve been shooting gorgeous couples in love for nearly 20 years now and I can’t imagine I’ll ever want to stop. But I want to make sure I can give each and every one of my couples all the attention, creativity, support and love they deserve. To do that I will be limiting the number of weddings I take on each month.

This means I will be able to spend more time with each of my couples and more time outside of weddings, spreading my creative wings a little and experimenting with fine art and portraiture. Whenever I do this I find my wedding work benefits hugely, so I’m pretty excited to see just what this year could bring.

It does also mean, however, that this year and next are pretty booked up, although there are a few spots here and there. So the way that I take bookings is also changing. I want to make absolutely sure that I’m the right person for you, so before we talk bookings, we’ll simply have a cup of coffee or a glass of vino in person, or over zoom, and chat about your plans for the big day. I’ll then give you some honest, from-the-heart advice as to how to get the wedding photographs of your dreams. One of the freedoms this limited booking number affords me is the freedom to be totally, 100% honest in my advice. If I think another photographer would suit you better, I will tell you.

If you would like to chat about your big day, drop me a line, I’m always happy to talk weddings! That hasn’t changed.

I’ll also be offering more in the way of portraits and be working more on Tinderbox on all things commercial and branding. I may even share some of my fine art shenanigans with you on here. ‘Citin!
