I am so excited to share this wedding with you! It has so many of my favourite things! Firstly, it all took place at the gorgeous Stubton Hall, right here in the heart of Nottinghamshire.

Stubton Hall is a real favourite wedding venue of mine. It has it all: granduer, a sense of style, beautiful grounds, amazing food and one of the best teams in the area to ensure your day is perfect. If you look on the Real Weddings – Stubton Hall page, you’ll see dozens of beautiful wedding days at this stunning venue. And each one has been perfect!

Lisa and Chris were also a wonderful couple to work with and they had such a fun-filled day, it was a real joy to photograph their wedding. And if you hate having your photograph taken then check out these two. They were really nervous about being photographed which may seem crazy (I mean, look at them, they’re GORGEOUS!) but it just goes to show, even the best looking couples can hate the camera. But they worked so well with me, taking the time to get to let me get to know them, doing a pre-wedding shoot to get used to me and my little black box of pictures, and most of all, being perfectly, wonderfully themselves in front of the camera. The result was a collection of photographs that are natural, unposed and capture their love for each other. What’s more, we had fun taking them!

In fact fun was such a big part of their wedding day. Instead of ages doing lots and lots of formal group photographs, favouring instead natural, unposed reportage wedding photography. They allowed me time to get a feel for their day and to capture their friends and family in all their crazy, funny, loving glory.

Finally, they chose such an awesome team for their wedding day that everything from Lisa’s stunning Maggie Sottero dress to the cake and the flowers was just so beautiful and added to the whole look and feel of this fabulous wedding day.

As ever, the fun started in the morning as Lisa and her crew of family and bridesmaids were getting ready in Stubton’s beautiful bridal suite…

Then there was a chance to see what the Groom and his team were up to…

Then, one of my favourite moments of any wedding day – the dress!!! And the Bride and her Dad coming down those awesome Stubton Hall stairs.

Their ceremony in the Bow Room was a bit of a tear jerker! Especially the poem read so well by Lisa’s littliest bridesmaid.

Then it was time for the serious business of partying!
