There can’t be any more romantic location for a wedding than Venice. So I was absolutely delighted when Harpinder and Aydon asked me to capture their stunning Venetian wedding. And what a wedding it was!
Not only is Venice possibly the most romantic and beautiful city in the world but the venues that Harpinder and Aydon chose to celebrate their wedding were some of the most elegant in the city. From the Hotel Danieli to the sensational, Philippe Starck designed Palazzina G where the reception took place.
Harpinder and Aydon had chosen this wonderful city for their wedding as it’s such a special place for them and they were willing to really go that extra mile to get this shot of St Mark’s Square waking up. If you’ve ever been to Venice you might wonder how on earth we managed to get a photograph of it so empty. Simple, we were there at 5am! There aren’t many couples that would agree to a photoshoot at 5am the day before their wedding but I’m so thankful these two are just that kind of crazy.
Somehow, Harpinder and Aydon still managed to look amazing for a Hens and Stag night to remember.
The next morning it was off to join Harpinder in her magnificent suite at the Palazzino G as the always amazing Rachel Liney created another stunning hair and make up look to go with this amazing dress.
Harpinder was so delighted when she saw her flowers too. Pretty Flowers – Flower Designers (www.prettyflowers.it) you did an awesome job!
We then travelled by private launch to the town hall where the couple were married in a beautifully emotional ceremony. Then the couple were followed by their guests through the streets of Venice to a very different St Mark’s square, filled with tourists this time, all of whom gave our gorgeous couple the celebrity treatment. Harpinder even posed for a few tourists’ selfies!
A boat trip around this beautiful city came next. A chance to enjoy some fiz and take in the sights and the beauty of the day.
Could Harpinder look any more perfect for a Venitian wedding? That dress, those Valentino shoes, her hair, EVERYTHING!
The boat ride finished back at the Krug lounge at the Palazzino G for the party to continue with good food, good speeches and even dancing in the street!
It really was a stunning wedding filled with fun and laughter.
I have to give a big shout out to my partner in this adventure, the awesome Rachel Liney who created all of the stunning hair and make up looks for Harpinder, to ensure she was just perfect! And sorry for the early start!
