The weddings I love best are the ones that are full of personality. When a couple go out of their wedding to make their wedding day unique to them, I know I’m going to LOVE photographing it! So when I met Laura and Will I may have given out a little squeal of delight.
As dedicated Steampunks, these two were always going to do things a little differently. They chose the stunning Beaumanor Hall for their touching wedding ceremony and very sunny drinks reception and followed this with afternoon tea (naturally!) with music the always amazing ARKangel duo. The day was fun and full of love witha best man’s speech that even got me feeling a bit emotional about MR S at home (so it must have been good!) But then it was time to capture this couple’s true awesomeness with a trip to the Great Central Railway – one of my absolute favourite places! And how amazing did these guys look amongst the steam trains and vintage setting? TOTALLY amazing!
And let’s just take a minute to admire these two shall we. I loved Laura’s loose curls and her fresh and natural make up, she really was the epitome of effortless vintage bridal style. As for Will, well just check out this facial furniture – that’s one hell of a beard! And how good did he look, epsecially in the perfect Steampunk setting? I LOVED photographing this bride and groom!
When we returned to the Beaumanor, David Gates had his brilliant open photobooth on the go and it was time for the first dance. Did I say first dance?!? Not for these two. Instead we had some very competitive rounds of tea duelling. What a perfect end to this unique and utterly brilliant wedding day!
