CHRIS + VERONICA – PENGUIN WEDDING

2018-06-12_0018.jpg

Chris and Veronica’s wedding day was a perfect reflection of this unique couple: stylish, individual, quirky, fun, Jaguar-obsessed and covered in penguins. Seriously, I have never seen so many penguins gathered in one place before!

So much time and effort had gone into the styling of this amazing wedding: from the vintage afternoon tea crockery, to the couple’s own crest (featuring penguins – naturally) adorning everything from massive banners to tiny lapel pins, to teh oversized balloons, it was like walking into another world of pink and blue vintage lovliness. And penguins!

Veronica’s look could not have been more perfect. She chose a cute 1950s inspired House of Mooshki dress and teamed this with the most amazing pair of Tangled themed, hand painted wedding shoes from Beretun Designs.

Jane McAlpine created gorgeous, soft vintage curlss and Jenni Hughes completed the look with the most perfect vintage vamp make up (how I LOVE a great cats eye and red lip on a bride!) She really did look AMAZING!

Not to be outdone, Chris wore a gorgeous Hugo Morris suit which ensured he was a sharp enough groom for this glamorous bride.

Oh and I loved the compimentary colours worn by the bridesmaids – so pretty!

This wonderful bride and groom were lucky enough to have their wedding ceremony outdoors, in the stunning grounds of Woodhall Spa Manor. Look at how gorgeous it was!

VinTEAge supplied a beautiful afternoon tea (and ladbies, you looked as good as the tea itself!) and the evening food was the amazing pizza from The Rustic Crust (and I mean AMAZING pizza!). A big shout out too to the team at Mambo Bars – the cocktails seemed to be going down very well as did the barmen and their antics!

There was lots going on in the evening, as well as amazing food and drink, there were casino tables and dancing to a live band.

Now Chris was a wedding photographer in a previous life (so no pressure there!) as a result this amazing couple were willing to go that extra mile to find the good light! Even scaling a fence (seriously, you guys are the BEST!) We were rewarded with some stunning evening haze. And look at these two – so in love!

Having been a wedding photographer, Chris has obviously seen his fair share of weddings. Couple this with a bride with such a strong sense of style and you can see why this couple wanted to do things their own way. Woodhall Spa Manor provided the perfect venue for them to make their own, but they probably couldn’t have done it without the help of the wonderful Val from Benessamy Wedding Planning, a guiding hand in the background, quietly making sure that everything was perfect. Thanks for all your help and being so much fun Val!
